Cracked the 'Does Rice cause weight gain?' question - Mystery unfolds.

Now days you can see many of the teenagers, college students or even adults avoiding rice in their daily food  plan, just to stay in shape or to lose some weight.

How many of you really want your brain to work?? If you truly wish that your brain should work...then you need to eat a good kind or you can say good quality of carbohydrates. If you want that your  brain-derived neurotrophic factor should keep you brain working and you should be smart and intelligent and not dumb and unintelligent you need carbs for that. It allows you to use your reasoning and intelligence  skills in your daily day to day activities. So if you really want your brain to utilise that BDNF, your body needs rice.

So here comes a question.. which type of rice should you eat? Brown rice or white rice?
Answer to this question is - White rice or any local rice available in your locality.

WHY WHITE RICE?

•Because White rice has adequate amout of fibre which our body needs.

•It helps in absorption of Iron and Calcium and doesn’t  hinder its assimilation.

•It has Insonitol which is fat burning.

•Its good for your skin. If you are on an anti ageing diet plan hunt, with all those cosmetics claiming to make your skin look younger and beautiful and on the other hand you are avoiding rice..Stop that!! Because rice has a anti ageing property. It reduces the wrinkels on your face. Even rice prevents premature wrinkling..

•It also prevents your stomach from bloating.

SOME  MYTHS ABOUT RICE:

•RICE IS BAD FOR DIABETICS

Rice when traditionally eaten in the indian way with dal, dahi, sabzi is great for diabetics.

•SAY NO TO CARBS??

Absolutely not!! There is no food which does not contain carbs.Rice has carbohydrates which are essential for the energy build up process in your body.

•REPLACE RICE WITH WHEAT

Replacing rice with wheat is not a good idea since it means reducing your intake of amino acids and also vitamin B.

•BROWN RICE IS BETTER THAN WHITE  RICE.

Brown rice contains bran which is more difficult to digest on everyday basis. White rice on the other hand has easily absorbable starch.

IMPORTANCE SINCE AGES

Ayurveda uses ricebased diets in treating various imbalances in the body. Dal-chawal is a nutritious meal, the entire spectrum of amino acids, vitamins and minerals. It also accelerates fat burning. Eat rice the way you want it, eat it as often as you want but surely in the quantities which will leave you feeling light and energetic and not heavy and lethargic. Make food your friend and not your enemy.
