PILE ON THE POUND

"No matter how hard I try to increase my weight by eating losts of food and even by moderate excercise it doesn't seem to me that I am gaining weight!! "
" What diet would you recommend for gaining weight?"

When most of us are trying to lose weight putting on weight is not as easy as it looks..
For proper weight gain, food intake should be a bit larger than your appetite, as your appetite will gradually increase to accommodate that.
When intake is more at a time the body won't burn down all the fats and the excess would be stored in the body in the form of fat. This will lead to weight gain eventually. It is always recommended that the calorie load should be from healthy food and not junk. Sugar, aerated drinks and candy are just no!

Basics to gain weight :

TAKE 1•
Add some extra chapati or rice than you usually consume. you can add extra fruits to you diet as well

TAKE 2•
To gain muscle mass, weight training is essential for at least an hour for 4 to 5 times a week.

TAKE 3.
Increase the intake of protiens and carbs  in your diet to increase muscle mass.

Make the food as nutritious as possible.

For people staying away from home mostly at hostels and as PG
You need to buy certain foods and stock them with you
as mid-meal snacks. You can opt for bananas, potatoes, sweet potatoes, boiled eggs, dry fruits like figs, almonds, walnuts, cashews, fruit yogurt, peanut butter, paneer etc. In every meal, try to eat little more than your appetite and eat six meals in a day at least. You can also opt for weight gainers available in the market which can give you your required calorie intake without any hassle.
Have patience as weight gain is a slow and gradual process.

Eat right. Stay fit.
